2015 – (Make Start Key)

F-type,Soverign,S-type,XF,XJ,XJ6,XJ8,XJR,XK,XKR,X-Type

B. Select from type:

Blade (Type 1: Key number; all keys lost (withPin or without pin), type 2)

Proximity (Type 1 – type 6)

Remote

C.Enter “2015 – (make start key)” and have menu:

Erase smart key, make start key, read key id.

Operation steps for Make Start Key:

1.Read KVM/RFA data, and KVM/RFA module installation position is as follows:

A.Right side of the trunk, applicable models: F-PACE2016-2017;

B.Right side of rear seats, applicable models:XF 2015-2016,XE 2015-2017,XFL2017;

Read CPU data:

After disassembling the KVM/RFA module housing, use a programmer such as Xprogto read and save the EEPROM and FLASH data of the CPU.CPU model:MC9S12XEQ384;

Wiring areas are distinguished between encrypted and unencrypted types, as shown in the figure below:

Note: Different programmers may have different wiring. For the encrypted type, it must be decrypted first, then read, and the reverse writing does not require encryption;

3.Copy data

Copy the D-FLASH and EEPROM data of the KVM/RFA module to the U disk or SD card, then insert the U disk or SD card into the device, and copy the data to the”Local backup data”folder of the device, as shown below:

Go back to the Make Start Key menu and select”Make Start Key”;

Select D-FLASH and EEPROM data files;

Select the blank key position(00000000) and click “Make Start Key”;

Connect P001 programmer and put the new key on P001 programmer, as shown below:

Make start key successfully, select exit, and save generated data(automatically generate the file name, same path as original data);

Copy the generated D-FLASH and EEPROM data from the device using USB flash disk or SD card and write it into the RFA module with the programmer;

Load the KVM/RFA module back into the vehicle, then test each key whether it can start the vehicle. Then it is complete.

 When installing DTS Monaco to communicates and works with SD connect c4 all user installed SDconnect Toolkit version 2.1.3. And no one tried to force the work SDconnect Toolkit version 2.1.4.2, which is installed together with the installation of Setup_Addon_DAG. And I did it.

Checked only on the system without DAS/Xentry.

Answer: During the procedure, you will have option “sdc4” and “ecom”, just select “ecom”, for the other options, click on “Next”.

Question: bought sdconnect c4 Dell 500G HDD, it contains only DTS Monaco 8.13 but I also want Monaco 8.03, how to own it?

Answer: actually, it contains both two, only because Monaco 8.03 does not display on the desktop.  Please run DTS 8.13, when the Hardware ID pops up, copy it and paste it to uobdii.com customer service, then wait for the activating file, after that please put it into the software category. Or the customer service will assist you by using the Teamviewer.

Tried to use Vxdiag Nano toyota techstream v12.00.127 to communicate with TOYOTA Prado 2008 with engine code: 2TR-FE and TOYOTA HILUX with 2TR-FE engine code, unfortunately I got error message “A communication error with Engine ECU occurred. Please confirm that Engine ECU is properly installed.”

Reviews on W211 HC12 EIS Reading with VVDI Pro, xprog, R260, r270, ak500.

Review 1:

Have w211 HC12 EIS 211 545 10 08 (I guess 3K91D). VVDI Prog manual say use cable V3 but on picture with connection there is V1 cable (it tell to use V2 or modify V1).

So which cable do I need to use? After I’ve seen that, I decided to first try with R260 blue clone but it keeps linking and can’t communicate with MCU.

I’m gonna try with VVDI but need be 100% sure which cable to use, in order to avoid (or minimalize) risk with that tricky 3k91d.

I have xprog also which I used once in the past with this mask and all good (auto verify OFF) but seen multiple opinions that xprog damage them also:

OK I tried with MCU Reflash V3 cable (VVDI Prog), communication OK, reading completed but file filled with zeros. (Thanks to one user who shared his experience and tips: I read and write some time with success when you first read EEPROM all is zero so the first read FLASH then read EEPROM.)

XTOOL X100 Pro2 is one of the best mileage programmer by OBD, we get one end of this cable plugged into the tool, the other end is plugged into the diagnostic port. I have a glance and find it has a wide range of vehicles.

Personally, so many over the years so many diagnostic tools that claim to do mileage programming and sort of OBD2 cables where you have to take the dash out, you have to install complex software onto laptops and PCs and so on. They just make the whole process really difficult even previous generation dedicated mileage correction tools they’ve always invoked sort of bring the dashboard out, soldering in the new chips…

I’ll go ahead and change the mileage and show you how simple it is.

Click on “Dashboard”.

It will take 1 minute or so for the database to load.

Just to bear that in mind if you are looking to maybe buy this tool for Ford, Vauxhall etc, but as I see it this is what I’m waiting for. It’s a lot cheaper than all of the mainstream or a lot of the other high-end mileage correction tools. So I’ve got a list of all the manufacturers here. Scroll down to “Porsche”.

Select “Cayenne”.

Year: 2010 – (after 2010 year).

First of all to “Backup and mileage”.

It can’t change from kilometers to miles as well, I’m gonna choose “Miles” because that’s what we’ve in right now.

Choose “New file”, press “OK”.

Save the previous file, name it “05”.

Communicating…

Reading data…It depends on the vehicle, this can sometimes take 2 or 3 seconds, sometimes they can take a minute.

It’s backup file in case we make a mistake we can revert back to that backup file, you see so the file is gonna be named zero five.

The mileage read out is 105685 miles.

Please input the mileage of the adjustment: 76700.

The light on the dashboard should all drop off and then it’s come back on. And it says adjustment complete on screen and it’s 76672 miles displaying on the dashboard.

Back to select “Recovery”.

Press “Yes” to confirm the selected data file is written back to the instrument.

Please select the current vehicle to recover the original data file, otherwise it will damage the instrument.

Choose “05.bin”.

Writing data…

Recovery successfully.

It’s now 105657 miles, that’s exact mileage as it was.

Conclusion:

I’ve never seen a tool within such compact size for such a good price. Which does the mileage correction such easily. I’ve tried XTOOL X100 Pro2 on other cars like Kia, VW, Mercedes, other Porsches (911 and Boxster) as well. This is the best and easiest mileage correction tool on the market.

Vxdiag vcx nano for GM works perfect. Software installed no problem on windows 10 machine. Installed GDS2, Tech2win and then the vx manager. It worked flawless. Within minutes I was able to program a Tehcm in a 2012 Silverado using.

My purpose was to have a MDI dealer-level system for diagnosing and 2-way testing/service functions – I was not interested in reflashing or programming modules.

What I ended up buying was a refurbished HP Elitebook laptop (8 GB memory, 500 GB hard drive, Intel I5 dual core), and a VXDiag VCX Nano GM (VCI, SAE J2534 compatible, for GM GDS2 and Tech2Win) which came with software and drivers.

First, this setup duplicates the Tech 2 functionality, and is called Tech2Win, and appears to be the same software GM uses. The last model year the Tech2(Win) is used for is 2013, with some earlier model years excluded due to going to the newer MDI. The Tech2 functions on Corvettes up through and including model year 2013. The Tech2Win application runs on native Windows 7 or 8. Some have claimed it runs on later versions of Windows as well. The VXDiag people indicate Windows 7 or 8 only.

Second, the product also provides MDI/GDS2 diagnostics, very similar to what the dealer uses but without the module reflashing/programming. The Nano comes with drivers for Tech2Win and MDI, and has a ‘cracked’ version of GDS2 which runs as a VMWare virtual machine with XP. They provide a copy of the free VM Player to run the cracked software on any Win 64-bit platform, including the above Win 7 /8 machine, and I have confirmed it also runs as a VM on a Win 10 machine.

Install the VM player as admin (right click on it and select run as admin).

Once have vm player installed on your machine, forget all about the VM player app start icon, since you not going to use it, since the xp version it has set up under it, will not work with nothing else but GDS2.

Now copy the GDS2 folder from the disc, to somewhere on your drive (folder and the files in it).

Now in that GDS2 folder you just copied to your hard drive, your going to right click on the VM.vmx file inside that folder and select to open it with Vm player app (selected from programs from the list).

If you want a icon to click on to open the GDS2 program via VM player without having to go into the folder each time, do a copy on the VM.vmx file via the right click method, go over to your desk top, do a right click paste of it there to make a short cut, do another click on the shortcut icon you just pasted into desk top, go down to rename, and just change the shortcut name to GSD2. Now when you click on the new icon named GSD2 you just made, it will open up GDS2 in the vm player.

If you want the icon in the start drop down menu, then right click on it again, and select pin to start menu (classic in my case, since I run classic shell since windows 8).

Hence you don’t start the GDS2 program by clicking on VM player, but by clicking on the vm.vmx file in the program, with it desinated to be opened up via VM player instead. Note if you do the GDS2 shortcut icon, make sure that is selected to open up with VM player as well.

So, if you have a need for both a Tech 2 and a MDI system without the reflashing functions, this appears to be the way to go as one PC and VCI (the Nano) is used for both.

Not the easiest to install and get running. The Tech2Win setup in Native Windows was pretty easy and the interface on the PC looks identical to the native Tech2.

Getting MDI/GDS2 to run using VMware was more difficult. VXDiag provides a VM player, and the WinXP/GDS2 virtual machine file. Should be pretty easy to load and go, but I could not get it to work with the provided VM Player. Another forum member noticed my comments about this in the C6 forum and worked with me to get to a slightly altered setup using a copy of VM Workstation Pro Player instead of the provided VM Player. With a few tweaks to settings we got this up and running. I would still like to get this running on the original player as it is freeware and the one I’m using is good for a trial period only, but I’ll work on that in the near future.

I spent an hour today poking around in the brains of my C7 with the MDI/GDS2 software. It’s indeed impressive the amount of data and access the tool offers. Well worth the cost ($295 total) and effort in the end.

Seeing that the Nano is J2534 compatible, I believe if one had a GM subscription to accomplish reflashing and programming new calibration files, this device would work in place of an actual Bosch MDI VCI – it appears that several folks have published Youtube videos doing exactly that.

   5. Look if you have the VX Manager version 1.4.2.0927 installed – if there are more than 1 then uninstall the newer version
   6. If you have only 1 version then next
   7. Search for the vxdiag.rar file, run it from winrar and follow the prompts
   8. Restart windows

Launch Thinkcar Thinkdiag (EASYDIAG 4.0) registered and activated on  Android phone, and go ahead to do Actuation Test.

1. Plug Thinkdiag into the obd2 port of car, hear the beeps and see the green indicator light indicating that is connected. We have the engine on for the car.

2. Select “All systems full function”.

3. Going to scan the vehicle’s VIN number.

About 20 seconds there found the VIN number and we connect to the vehicle.

5. Select “System selection”.

6. Body Control Module (BCM).

7. Select “Actuation Test”.

7. Select “Driver window motor”.

8. We can also select “Windshield Washer relay”, so “Active”.
